Jeweller house Van Cleef and Arpels has represented new collection of haute joaillerie with romantic name Les Jardins (”Gardens”).
New collection consists of four different lines: Jardin Italien de la Renaissance, Jardin à la Française, Jardin Romantique Anglais, Jardin d’Extrême Orient.
Jardin Italien de la Renaissance is a merge of ancient art of Rome and Greece with influence of Persia and Mauritian style. Taking decorative stucco mouldings of Renaissance buildings as a basis, Van Cleef and Arpels have created jewelry in classical style, using magic of emeralds, brilliants, abundance of the cultivated pearls, sapphires.
In line Jardin à la Française the French style, penetrated by motives of brilliant time of board of Louis XIV, the King-Sun spending found Ñуаре in the gallant palace in Versailles, dominates. Necklace Viscomte, made of large sapphires and brilliants, earrings Versaille combining diamond shades yellow, pink and white, ring Chantilly from diamonds - all these jewelry would perfectly look on royal persons and favourites in XVII century and on smart ladies today.
Romanticism of English gardens - is an imitation of nature, harmony with an initial landscape, glades and lawns of free outlines, reservoirs in twisting coast, curvilinear paths and at the same time it is a strict architectural complex. These are the basic lines of the classical English gardens, which became the inspiring beginning for jeweller masterpieces Jardin Romantique Anglais from Van Cleef and Arpels. Jardin d’Extrême Orient is a style and mood of east garden with its respectful relation to nature elements, impeccability and the calmness. Lotus flowers, characteristic for east gardens, became the main motive in set Nymphéa, validity of stone compositions and calming effect of water cascades were reflected in ring Nuit d’Orient, Sérénité, Jardin d’Eau, Hanami, Sakura and others.
